Summary

Die Norm NEM 660 legt eine einheitliche Schnittstelle für den Einbau oder Austausch von Elektronikbaugruppen (Decodern) in Modellbahnen fest. Die Schnittstelle besteht aus einer 22-poligen Stiftleiste und bietet bis zu 8 Funktionsausgänge sowie 2 Sensoreingänge. Die Abmessungen des Decoders betragen maximal 30 x 15,5 x 6,5 mm. Die Schnittstelle ist für Wechselstrommotoren, Gleichstrommotoren und Glockenankermotoren geeignet. Die Kontaktbelegung der Schnittstelle ist in Tabelle 2 definiert und umfasst unter anderem Ausgänge für Licht, Lautsprecher, Motor und Stromabnahme. Die Norm empfiehlt eine maximale Strombelastbarkeit von 1 A und eine Kontaktbelastbarkeit von max. 1 A. Fahrzeuge mit werkseitig eingebauter Schnittstelle nach dieser NEM müssen auf der Verpackung mit dem Logo 21MTC gekennzeichnet werden.
