Summary

Autex Felt installation instructions are for experienced tradesmen to install the product directly to solid substrates to a high standard. Before starting, ensure materials are supplied correctly, free from damage, and from the same batch to avoid color variation. Felt must be transported, stored, and handled with care, and any damage or faults must be reported to Autex prior to commencing installation. A contact-type adhesive is recommended, and the installer is responsible for ensuring the adhesive and substrate are suitable for the application. The substrate must be prepared to a minimum Level 3 finish, and all surfaces must be clean, dust-free, and dry. Felt should be installed from the top down, smoothing out from the center, and joins should be vertical, clean, and flat with no gaps or bubbles. The job should be progressively checked for appearance, installation quality, and adequate adhesion, and any variations or issues must be notified and discussed with Autex.
