Press the Power button on the bottom right side of the display to turn it on. The button will change color from red to white once the display is powered on. The Power button turns the display on/off. The Volume button adjusts the sound volume higher or lower. The Brightness button adjusts the brightness of the screen higher or lower. The Home button takes you to the Home Screen. The Quick Settings button brings up the quick settings menu. The Q Series Panel Front Buttons have Off and On functions.

The Home Screen Shortcuts include OPS, which takes you to the internal PC (OPS) if connected. Screen Sharing takes you to the Newline Cast wireless screen sharing app. Whiteboard takes you to the embedded Whiteboard. Browser pulls up a web browser if the display is connected to the Internet. Apps lists all of the available apps you can access and use on the screen. Add lets you customize and add icons to the Home Page for easy access to your favorite apps and sources. End Session ends the session and takes you back to the Start Screen. File Viewer takes you to the Newline File Commander, where you can access and preview files on local and cloud storage systems. Source Preview taps the name of a connected source, and a preview of that source will appear in the window. Tap the preview and go straight to that source. Settings adjusts the panel settings. Internet Settings pulls up the Ethernet settings menu. Shortcuts Menu is a menu that can be customized with apps of your choice.

To add a shortcut to the Home Screen, click the + Add button in the Shortcuts menu. Select "Apps" on the right side of the menu. Tap to choose which apps to add to the Shortcuts menu. A blue check mark will appear in the upper right corner of the selected app. Once you have chosen which apps to add, click the X in the upper right to exit. You can add up to five apps to the Shortcuts menu.

The Quick Settings Toolbar can be accessed by tapping the Quick Settings button on the front of the panel or by swiping up with two fingers from the bottom of the touch display. The toolbar includes Freeze, Mute, Wi-Fi, Classroom Tools, Sound Only, Toolbar, Home Shortcut, Sources, Settings, Split Screen, Palm Erase, Palm Rejection, Screen Lock, Log Out, and Annotation Shortcut.

The Quick Access Toolbar can be accessed by tapping the white circle on either the left or right side of the screen. To minimize the Quick Access Toolbar, tap the button again. The toolbar includes Annotation Shortcut, Whiteboard Shortcut, Home Shortcut, Back Shortcut, OPS/Sources Shortcut, Apps Shortcut, Source Preview Shortcut, Running Apps Shortcut, and Quick Access Menu Button.
