1. Log in to the server where Data Innovations' Instrument Manager is loaded and click on System Status.
2. Check the Status window for lab orders and results interfaces; if they say "Connecting" instead of "On", or have numbers accumulating in the InQ or SendQ columns, restart them by clicking Stop Selected Connections and then Start Selected Connections.
3. Sign in to Putty and verify only one task is running for each interface in Task Manager; if multiple tasks are found, clean them up using Taskman Management.
4. List running tasks and look for LAB INTERFACE2 (orders) or LAB INTERFACER (results); take note of task numbers and job numbers.
5. If multiple tasks are found for LAB INTERFACE2 or LAB INTERFACER, clean them up by deleting tasks using Taskman Management.
6. Once tasks are cleaned up, start the interface (task) again using Taskman Management.
