Key Hazards:

Acute Inhalation Toxicity: Causes harm to respiratory system.
Eye Damage/Irritation: Serious potential for eye damage.
Flammable Liquid: Can ignite and burn if exposed to heat or open flames.

First Aid Measures (General):

In case of exposure, seek medical attention immediately.
Eye Contact: Rinse cautiously with water for at least 15 minutes while keeping eyes wide open. Remove contact lenses if present.
Skin Contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water, remove contaminated clothing.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water and drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician.

Fire-Fighting Measures:

Use foam, carbon dioxide (CO2), dry chemical, or water spray (fog).
Thermal decomposition can release irritating and toxic gases.

Accidental Release Measures:

Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
Prevent further leakage/spillage if safe.
Contain with inert absorbents (e.g., sand, silica gel).
Do not allow product to enter drains; do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Handling & Storage:

Ensure adequate ventilation in confined areas.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and face protection.
Store in a cool, well-ventilated place, keep tightly closed, out of reach of children, and away from freezing temperatures.
Incompatible with acids.

Exposure Controls/Personal Protection:

OSHA PEL (Permissible Exposure Limit): 10 mg/m³ TWA for 2,4-D, dimethylamine salt.
NIOSH IDLH (Immediate Danger to Life or Health): 10 mg/m³ TWA for 2,4-D, dimethylamine salt.
