Use a LAN cable (sold separately) for a stable connection.
- Alternative: Use Wi-Fi, but do not connect a LAN cable.

- Connect to your TV:
1. Connect DUALSHOCK®4 controller to the PS4™ system using the USB cable, then press the PS button.
2. Turn on your TV and set the input to HDMI.
3. Turn on your PS4™ system by pressing the power button. The power indicator blinks blue, then turns white.

- Initial Setup:
- Follow on-screen instructions to set up an Internet connection, date and time, and other settings.
- A system software update may automatically download.

- Controller Usage:
- Pair the controller when first used or on another PS4™ system.
- Up to four controllers can be used simultaneously, each with a distinct light bar color.
- Controllers can be used wirelessly after initial pairing via USB.

- Troubleshooting:
- If the TV does not display a picture after the power indicator turns white, restart the system.
- Press and hold the power button for at least 7 seconds to turn off the system, then turn it back on.

- Parental Controls:
- Parents/guardians can restrict access to certain content or features using parental controls.
- Game usage can be restricted based on age limitations and parental control levels.

- Sharing Gameplay:
- Press the SHARE button to capture screenshots, upload video clips, or broadcast gameplay live.
- Use the Live from PlayStation and Share Play features to view or share gameplay with others.

- Power Modes:
- Rest Mode: Keeps the system operating at lower power consumption. Files can be downloaded, and controllers charged while in this mode.
- Turn Off PS4: Completely turns off the system.
