This guide covers the installation and maintenance of your new acrylic storage niche TechnoNiche by Technoform Industries Ltd. Please read it carefully prior to installation, then keep it in a safe place for future reference. Verify if the product is in good shape. Should the inspection reveal that the product is damaged or that it has a manufacturing defect, contact our customer service department. The warranty does not cover damages or finishing defects once the product has been installed.

Tools and materials required for installation:

For surface mount model: Silicone caulking for bathroom, caulking gun, masking tape, lead pencil.
For recessed model: Same tools and materials as surface mount model + pieces of wood (2"x3" or 2"x4").

Installation instructions:

Surface Mount Model

1. Remove the protective film on the niche. Make sure that the surface where the niche will be installed is clean and free of contaminant that could affect the adhesion.
2. Place the niche in the desired location. Level and trace the outline of the niche with a pencil.
3. A light sanding of the back of the niche and the surface on which it will be fixed is recommended to optimize the adhesion.
4. Clean to remove any residue, then apply caulking beads about 1" (25 mm) apart on the back of the niche.
5. Place the niche against the wall, aligning with the pencil marks drawn previously, and press firmly on the cavities of the niche.
6. Once the niche is in position, place strips of masking tape to hold the niche in place while the caulking dries.
7. Wait 24 hours before removing the strips. Apply caulk all around the niche, then wait 24 hours before using the product.

Recessed Model

1. Remove the protective film on the niche. Decide where the niche will be positioned and make sure the wall structure offers enough clearance to accommodate the niche without interference.
2. The depth required for the niche is 3.5" (90 mm) from the finished wall surface. Build a wood frame that will enclose the niche inside the wall structure.
3. Make sure that the niche is level and square and that it can be inserted without restriction.
4. Install the drywall and wall covering while maintaining the niche enclosure opened.
5. Apply a continuous bead of caulking around the edge of the opening. The caulking bead must be at least 1/4" (6 mm) thick.
6. Place the niche into the recess until it is firmly against the wall. Make sure the niche is levelled.
7. Place strips of masking tape to hold the niche in place while the caulking dries. Wait 24 hours before removing the strips. Apply caulk all around the niche, then wait 24 hours before using the product.

Care and cleaning:

Clean with gentle soap (dishwashing liquid). A regular application of a quality car wax will help maintain the surface finish and facilitate the maintenance.
DO NOT use any abrasive or corrosive cleaning products, scrapers, brushes or any other object that may damage the surface of the product. The use of these products will void the warranty.

Warranty:

The product is guaranteed against any manufacturing defect from the date of purchase indicated on the consumer's receipt.
Industries Technoform Ltd. offers a limited warranty of ten (10) years on its storage niches. This warranty addresses the customer.
