Fitting

Check the assembly instructions to ensure all necessary parts are present.
Follow the assembly instructions and recommendation list carefully.
Do not attempt to fit the carrier in any other way than shown in the mounting instructions.

Loading

Do not exceed the maximum load specified in the assembly instructions or the vehicle's recommended maximum load.
Secure the load carefully, using no elastic bungees.
Check the maximum weight per bike and position the largest and heaviest bikes closest to the car.
The carrier is designed for standard bike frames only, and tandem bikes must not be transported.
Consult the bike manufacturer or dealer for carbon frames or forks.

Important Information

For tow bar-mounted carriers: ensure the tow ball is made of steel, check the tow bar capacity, and keep a safe distance between the carrier and exhaust pipe.
For rear door-mounted carriers: never mount the carrier if your vehicle has an optional rear spoiler, check the latest recommendations in the Thule Buyer's Guide, and be aware of potential issues with tailgate wipers.

Safety Precautions

Remove easily removable parts of the bikes before transportation.
Disable the automatic boot or tailgate opening function when using a rear-mounted carrier.
Fit the load with appropriate lights and warning signs in accordance with local laws.
