The TJA1081 is a FlexRay node transceiver compliant with the FlexRay electrical physical layer specification V2.1 Rev. A, with features and parameters included in V3.0.1. It provides an advanced interface between the protocol controller and the physical bus in a FlexRay network, with enhanced low-power modes, differential transmit and receive capabilities, and excellent EMC performance. The device supports mode control, low power management, diagnosis, and protection features, including overtemperature detection, short-circuit detection, and undervoltage detection. It operates in various modes, including normal, receive-only, standby, go-to-sleep, and sleep, with control inputs STBN and EN used to select the operating mode. The TJA1081 has a serial interface for retrieving diagnostic information and provides a wake-up source recognition feature.
