## Introduction

PROG DB is software designed for data storage and management from LAUMAS W Series weight indicators, including models: W200, WDOS, WDESK, WINOX, and WTAB. Data transfer occurs via two methods: USB key (OPZWUSB) or RS-232 serial port/RS-485 converter (OPZWDATIPC).

Key Features:
- Stores weighings, batching data, and alarms from connected instruments.
- Allows data consultation, printing, and advanced search capabilities.
- Recognizes new instruments via serial communication or backup files.
- Customizable instrument settings with names and notes.
- Supports Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/10.

## Installation and Configuration

Minimum System Requirements:
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/10.
- Computer: Intel Pentium 4 1.4 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+, 512 MB RAM, 50 MB free hard drive space.
- Additional: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (if not installed, it will be downloaded during setup).

Installation Steps:
1. Insert the PROG DB installation CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. Wait for automatic launch or manually open "My Computer," then select the CD-ROM drive icon.
3. Double-click on the ProgDBv1.3.8.exe (or latest version) to start the installer. Right-click and select "Run as administrator" if prompted.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. Launch PROG DB from the Windows Start menu after installation is finished.
