Summary

The GEIST™ Door Position Sensor (RDPS) is a normally-closed magnetic, dry-contact sensor designed to monitor the open or closed status of remote doors. It requires mounting the magnet on the door and the switch on the frame, ensuring they are within 1/2 inch when closed. The sensor connects to Geist devices via analog/dry contact inputs by attaching the common wire to terminal C and another wire to terminal 1. If a Geist device lacks these inputs, an A2D converter can be used for RJ12 sensor port conversion. When multiple sensors are daisy-chained into one input port, specific door identification is not possible.
