Summary

The Optetrak LPI Patella Instrumentation is used for resurfacing the patella. The operative technique involves sizing the patella with Axial Patella Saw Guide Rings, assembling the ring onto the handle, and positioning the handle over the patella. The Axial Patella Saw Guide is then slid down until it contacts the patella bone, and the thickness of the patella is read on the backside of the handle. The resection guide is adjusted and the resection is performed medial to lateral, with the option to adjust the resection depth using a knob.
