Researchers from Kazan Federal University, Ritsumeikan University, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, and V. A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of Russian Academy of Sciences have developed a universal graphical user interface (GUI) for controlling drones using the Robot Operating System (ROS). The GUI, written in C++ and Qt Framework, enables control of UAVs, receives and visualizes data from drones, and can be applied to any drone integrated with ROS. The interface includes various widgets, such as buttons for settings, launch, and landing, as well as info forms for current mode, status, and coordinates. It also features an aerial widget with compass, height, and angle indicators, an image viewer for video streams, and a map widget that updates the UAV's position in real-time. The GUI is designed to be compatible with all drones that use the ROS framework.
