Summary

A superhydrophobic surface was created using a glass plate and isopropyl alcohol, and images were taken of water droplets dyed with food coloring on this surface using a Nikon D3200 camera. The images show the fluid interaction between the water droplets and the superhydrophobic surface, which prevents dispersion and the puddle effect typical for water resting on a surface. The contact angle on the superhydrophobic surface was greater than 150 degrees, while on a non-hydrophobic surface, it was smaller, resulting in a puddle effect. The Solid Surface Energy and Solid-Liquid Interfacial Energy varied between the treated and non-treated surfaces, affecting the contact angle of the droplets. Post-processing of the images included rotation, cropping, saturation, and color adjustments.
