Financial Group (FG) and Bank (BK) have received business improvement orders from the Financial Services Agency and corrective action orders from the Ministry of Finance. The main issues pointed out by the Financial Services Agency include the lack of verification in development and failure response, insufficient maintenance and operation management, and inadequate crisis response measures. The root causes of these issues are identified as the underestimation of system risks and specialized knowledge, lack of understanding of IT field realities, insufficient customer-centric mindset, and inadequate communication.

To address these issues, FG and BK will implement measures to prevent reoccurrence, including the establishment of a system to verify the effectiveness of countermeasures, the reconstruction of IT governance, and the strengthening of crisis management. They will also work to enhance their organizational culture, including the development of personnel and the improvement of communication.

In response to the Ministry of Finance's corrective action order, FG and BK will take measures to strengthen their compliance with foreign exchange laws, including the establishment of a specialized team for foreign exchange law compliance, the enhancement of role-sharing and collaboration among departments, and the strengthening of system management.
