445 respondents answered the AGC Coronavirus Survey, with varied responses to each question.

Project delays or disruptions were caused by:
- Shortage of construction materials (44%)
- Shortage of craftworkers/subcontractors (40%)
- Difficulties securing financing (29%)
- Shortage of personal protective equipment (23%)
- Potentially infected person visited jobsite (9%)
- Shortage of government workers (8%)
- Shortage of construction materials, equipment, or parts (6%)

55% of respondents had suppliers notify them of late or canceled deliveries.

Between March 1 and October 1, 59% of firms had no change in headcount, 21% furloughed employees, 15% terminated employees, and 11% added employees.

47% of respondents expect their firm's volume of business to return to normal in 1-6 months, while 29% expect it to take more than 6 months, and 19% are unsure.

In the next 12 months, 47% of respondents expect no net change in headcount, 39% expect an increase, and 14% expect a decrease.

Helpful measures to address the economic fallout include:
- More funding for loan programs (43%)
- Funding for state DOTs (29%)
- Enact a pandemic risk insurance (23%)
- Address federal unemployment benefits (22%)
- Larger federal investment in public infrastructure (19%)

The pandemic has led to changes in travel budget policies, with 38% reducing their travel budget, 32% banning travel not related to projects, 11% banning all travel, and 3% making other changes.
