The main factors contributing to this increase were the introduction of new flights and increased flights at Sendai Airport Station, as well as events such as the "National High School Comprehensive Cultural Festival" and the "National High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet". The breakdown of passengers by station is as follows: Sendai Airport Station had 1,901,852 passengers, with a daily average of 5,211; Minami-Matsushima-Minato Station (美田園駅) had 509,629 passengers, with a daily average of 1,396; and Rikuzen-Douki Station (杜せきのした駅) had 1,241,543 passengers, with a daily average of 3,401. The total number of passengers increased by 106.0% compared to the previous year.
