Summary

Water Marbling is a fun art style that creates patterns on water and transfers them to objects. It's similar to Hydro-dipping, with no real difference between the two. Water Marbling uses water-based paints or inks, while Hydro-dipping often uses chemical or solvent-based paints. Regular acrylic paint is too heavy for Water Marbling and needs a special mixture. A "size" solution is required to treat the water, allowing paint to float. Almost any porous surface can be marbled, and some non-porous surfaces can be treated for marbling. Special paper is needed for Water Marbling, with good wet strength and color-locking technology. Colors can be mixed, and marbled paper typically dries in 1-2 hours. A Magic Medium product is available to create the water marbling size, which is mixed with hot water and stirred thoroughly before use.
