Summary

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh gaya belajar homogen terhadap prestasi belajar siswa sekolah menengah pertama tahun 1979-1980 di Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. Penelitian didasarkan pada hipotesis bahwa siswa yang tergabung dalam kelompok dengan gaya belajar serupa (homogen) akan menunjukkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok heterogen.

Metode penelitian melibatkan dua kelompok: kelompok homogen (dengan gaya belajar yang sama) dan kelompok kontrol (heterogen). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam prestasi belajar antara kedua kelompok, di mana kelompok homogen menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih unggul.

Temuan utama adalah:
- Siswa dalam kelompok homogen memiliki kemampuan belajar yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok heterogen.
- Gaya belajar homogen memengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa secara positif.

Penelitian ini disimpulkan oleh penulis, Dr. Hawaim Machrus dari Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Airlangga, sebagai bukti pentingnya mempertimbangkan gaya belajar siswa untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran.
