To enroll on a wait list:

1. Go to "Student Center" and select the "Enroll" tab.
2. Choose your enrollment term.
3. Click "Search."
4. In the "Subject" drop-down, pick a subject and enter the course number (e.g., Communication Studies 1006). Uncheck "Show Open Classes Only," then search again.
5. Select a course with a Wait List status.
6. Check "Wait list if class is full" and click "Next."
7. Click "Proceed to step 2 of 3."
8. Finish by clicking the "Finish Enrolling" button.
9. If successful, you'll receive an enrollment message with your waitlist position.

To swap an enrolled class for a waitlisted one:

1. Repeat steps 1-3 from above.
4. Select the "Swap" tab.
5. Choose an enrolled course to swap and search.
6. In the "Subject" drop-down, select a subject and enter the course number (e.g., Communication Studies 1006). Uncheck "Show Open Classes Only," then search again.
7. Pick a course with a Wait List status.
8. Check "Wait list if class is full" and click "Next."
9. Click "Finish Swapping."

If successful, you'll receive an enrollment message for the waitlist position, and you will be swapped from your original enrolled course.

Important notes:
- If no longer needed, drop yourself from the waitlist to allow others a chance.
- Successful enrollments are processed nightly; watch your email for notifications.
- Failed attempts may result from registration blocks like time conflicts or unit overloads. Clear these issues or drop from the waitlist if unresolved.
