Summary

This study investigates the vulnerability stress model in predicting psychological problems and life satisfaction of newcomer Turkish immigrants in the Netherlands, considering vulnerability factors such as personal characteristics and stress factors related to immigrants' experiences after arrival, and finds significant effects of gender, host culture acculturation orientation, perceived discrimination, and independent self construals on psychological problems, and a significant relationship between independent self construal and life satisfaction.
