Leeming RAF Community Primary School's RE curriculum is based on the principle 'We care, we respect, we do our best' and the RESPECT values: Resilience, Empathy, Self-awareness, Positivity, Excellence, Communication, and Teamwork. The school follows a rolling programme for RE, with different topics and religions covered each year.

In Reception, pupils learn about Diwali, Christmas, and Easter through responsive lessons. In Year 1/2, pupils study Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, exploring topics such as beliefs, sacred times, and caring for others.

In Year 3/4, pupils delve deeper into Christianity, exploring the importance of the Bible, prayer, and being a Christian in Britain today. They also learn about Hinduism and the significance of festivals.

In Year 5/6, pupils examine more complex topics, including the existence of God, the role of worship, and the differences between Christianity, Humanism, and other religions. They also participate in a 'Walk Through the Bible' programme, covering both the Old and New Testaments.

Throughout the curriculum, pupils are encouraged to develop their understanding of different religions and to respond thoughtfully to various faiths and beliefs. The school aims to promote respect, empathy, and self-awareness in its pupils, reflecting the RESPECT values.
