Summary

The role of the Self-system in self-regulation of mental states in students' educational activities is analyzed, with a focus on the relationship between the components of the Self-system and the level of effectiveness in self-regulation of mental states. The research was conducted in three forms of educational activity with different levels of tension: lectures, seminars, and exams. The results show that students with high self-regulation efficiency experience positive cognitive states more intensely, have a positive self-attitude, and a higher level of expression of the Self-system components. The leading substructures of mental states and the Self-system in each form of educational activity were identified, with behavior being the most important in everyday activities and somatic reactions and cognitive processes being more important in tense situations like exams. As the tension of the situation increases, the role of self-attitude components in regulating mental states also increases.
