Summary

This study aimed to investigate the effect of cognitive-behavioral methods on reducing test anxiety in high school adolescents in Fasa, Iran. 30 boys and 30 girls participated in 10 group therapy sessions with cognitive-behavioral methods. The results showed a significant decrease in test anxiety, with the effect remaining constant two months after the intervention. The effect was higher in girls than in boys. Group therapy also had a significant effect on increasing self-esteem scores. The study concluded that cognitive-behavioral group therapy can be effective in reducing test anxiety in high school students.
