Summary

L'élection du Greffier de la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) pour un mandat de 5 ans doit être juste, transparente et méritocratique. Les candidats doivent être hautement qualifiés, avoir une excellente connaissance d'au moins une des langues de travail de la Cour et être de haute moralité. La Coalition pour la CPI exhorte les juges à nominer le candidat le plus qualifié et à assurer un processus d'élection fondé sur le mérite, sans "vote-trading". Le Greffier est responsable des aspects non judiciaires de l'administration et du service de la Cour, et doit avoir des compétences essentielles en leadership, finance, management, communication et transparence. La CPI vise à une représentation équitable du sexe, de la géographie et des systèmes juridiques du monde. Le processus de candidature et d'élection est décrit dans le Statut de Rome et les Règles de procédure et de preuve de la CPI.
