 What is the amount of the layoff allowance? What percentage of the average wage?

According to the Labor Standards Act, it is decided to be 60% or more.

Step 1: Let's plan the layoff
Employees who are able to work but are unable to work due to circumstances
※ Vacations and holidays are not included.

Step 2: Let's summarize the layoff agreement and agree with the representative of the employees
 We summarize the plan made in Step 1 in writing (any format)
※ There are examples in the simplified guidebook.
 We agree with the representative of the labor union or the employees.

※ During the special period, the submission of the plan notification is not required.

The subsidy will be deposited into the specified account.
Step 3: Let's lay off employees as planned and pay the layoff allowance
 We lay off employees in accordance with the plan made in Step 1.
 We record the number of layoff days and hours on the time card or attendance record for each employee.
 We record the amount of layoff allowance on the pay stub or wage ledger for each employee.
※ Please record it so that it can be submitted when applying for subsidy.

Step 5: Apply to the Labor Bureau or Hello Work
 You can choose from the counter, mail, or online.
There is an examination by the Labor Bureau or Hello Work.
Step 4: Create a subsidy application form
Prepare the application form and creation manual
 Record the number of layoff days, layoff allowance amount, etc. for each employee.
 Calculate the amount of subsidy by multiplying the total amount of layoff allowance by the subsidy rate.
 Record the company name, account number, etc.
