Summary

Der Ausschuss für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen des Abgeordnetenhauses von Berlin hat am 21. Juni 2017 eine öffentliche Sitzung abgehalten, in der es um die Haltung der Deutschen Wohnen AG zum Berliner Mietspiegel, ihre Vermietungsstrategie und die Situation der Mieterinnen und Mieter ging. Die Fraktionen der SPD, Die Linke und Bündnis 90/Die Grünen hatten die Anhörung beantragt, da sie besorgt über die Geschäftsstrategie der Deutschen Wohnen sind, die auf Renditesteigerung durch Mietsteigerungen und Wertsteigerung des Bestandes abzielt. Die Mieterinnen und Mieter der Deutschen Wohnen haben sich über die Nichtanerkennung des Berliner Mietspiegels, die Drückung der Mieten nach oben und die Vernachlässigung der Instandhaltung beschwert. Der Senat hat festgestellt, dass die Deutsche Wohnen Mieterhöhungen vornimmt, die über den Oberwerten des Mietspiegels liegen, und dass der Mietspiegel nicht angewandt wird. Die Senatorin Katrin Lompscher hat betont, dass alle Versuche der Deutschen Wohnen, den Mietspiegel in Frage zu stellen, bisher erfolglos geblieben sind.
