Summary

ЕС се основава на ценностите на демокрацията, върховенството на закона и зачитането на правата на човека. Въпреки това тези ценности и дискусиите относно основните права на равнището на ЕС и държави членки могат да изглеждат отдалечени в ежедневието на хората. FRA проведе проучване, за да установи какво разбират, знаят и преживяват хората на практика във връзка с основните им права. Получените данни осигуряват изчерпателни и съпоставими доказателства в това отношение. Проучването показва, че хората имат различни възгледи за функционирането на демократичното общество и политическото участие, както и за добра администрация и корупция в публичните услуги. Резюмето представя основните заключения от проучването на FRA и е предназначено за институциите на ЕС, правителствата и институциите на държавите членки, както и за защитниците на правата на човека и организациите на гражданското общество.
