They also heard recommendations from the Planning and Zoning committee on minor re-plats and a height variance for properties on Main Street, owned by Millspaugh Holdings LLC.

A public hearing was held, with citizens speaking for and against the height variance at 101 Main Street. The applicant, Millspaugh, ultimately withdrew the application for the height variance and the minor re-plat at 100 Main Street, but left the minor re-plat for 101 Main to be voted on. The council approved the minor re-plat at 101 Main and a historic marker/designation for the Mary Nichols Art Center.

The meeting also included a discussion on the 2014/2015 fiscal year audit, which showed the city's assets exceeded its liabilities by $10,193,831, with a total net position increase of $505,783. The city's governmental and proprietary funds reported increases in fund balances.
