Summary

The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana and the US Environmental Protection Agency agreed to a Monitoring Plan for the Hydrologic Restoration and Vegetative Planting in the Lac des Allemands Swamp (BA-34-2) project. The project aims to restore the hydrology of a 969 ha bald cypress-water tupelo swamp by breaching the Bayou Chevreuil spoil bank in six positions to reduce flooding events.
