1. A name should be in consonance with the principal objects of the company.
2. A finance company's name should be indicative of its financial activities.
3. A name should not include offensive words.
4. A name should not be the exact Hindi translation of an existing company's name.
Registrars of Companies should refer doubtful cases to the Research and Statistics Division, and may ask promoters to suggest alternative names. The Registrars should adopt a polite attitude and explain the difficulties of approving names that may create confusion. Promoters may resubmit proposals for name availability up to two times after the original application, and the Registrar may reject the application after the second resubmission. Allowed names are available for adoption for 60 days, with a possible 30-day extension on payment of 50% of the initial fee.
