3. Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs): Parties to undertake and communicate ambitious efforts to achieve the purpose of the Agreement, with efforts representing a progression over time.
4. Global Peaking: Parties aim to reach global peaking of greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible, with rapid reductions thereafter to achieve a balance between emissions and removals.
5. Support: Developed country Parties to take the lead in reducing emissions, while developing country Parties are encouraged to enhance their mitigation efforts, with support provided for implementation.
6. Reporting: Parties to communicate their NDCs every five years, providing information necessary for clarity, transparency, and understanding.
7. Equity and Justice: Parties to respect, promote, and consider their respective obligations on human rights, gender equality, and intergenerational equity when taking action to address climate change.
8. Sustainable Development: Parties to pursue sustainable development and eradicate poverty, while addressing climate change, and ensure the integrity of all ecosystems, including oceans, and the protection of biodiversity.
9. Finance: Make finance flows consistent with a pathway towards low greenhouse gas emissions and climate-resilient development.
10. Review and Revision: Parties to review and revise their NDCs every five years, with the aim of achieving the objectives of the Agreement.
