Texans agree, with 63% saying climate change is having a serious impact. Americans blame the failure of gas power plants for the Texas energy crisis, with 61% saying gas plants are more to blame than renewables. Clean energy companies are viewed more favorably than oil and gas companies, with 55% having a favorable view of wind energy companies compared to 38% for oil and gas companies. Americans believe clean energy will create more jobs than oil and gas, with 49% saying clean energy has more potential. President Biden's energy and climate executive orders are widely popular, with all but one supported by at least a 10-point margin. After a balanced debate, support for Biden's orders increases, including revoking the Keystone XL permit, which moves into positive territory. Independents flip from opposing Keystone to supporting it by an 8-point margin.
