Dear Esteemed Company Owner,

The Mechanical Engineering Department of National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) is seeking internship opportunities for our students during the summer of 112 (2023). Our goal is to provide students with a chance to explore their careers, understand the workplace environment, and learn to interact with different levels within a company. We also aim to help companies find potential employees and give students an early exposure to the job market, benefiting them whether they choose to enter the workforce or pursue further studies.

If your company has internship needs, please fill out the attached "Campus External Internship Cooperation Unit Basic Data Form" and send it back to us in Word format. We will publish the final list of internship opportunities by the end of April.

Our process is as follows:
1. Publish your company's requirements and conditions.
2. Collect student applications (resumes) within one week of the announcement.
3. Send the applicants' data to your company via email.
4. Conduct interviews and select interns.
5. Inform us of the selection results (students can only apply to one company at a time).
6. Announce the results to the entire department.
7. The internship period is from July 3 to August 31, 2023.
8. Both parties sign an internship agreement.
9. Our department will send a mentor to visit the students during the internship.
10. After the internship, please submit an evaluation form, attendance record, and related questionnaires.
11. This internship is a mandatory 2-credit course.
12. All matching activities are expected to be completed by May 26, 2023, to allow time for mentor selection, pre-internship orientation, insurance arrangements, and final exams.

Important dates for 112 (2023):
- Winter vacation: January 16 to February 19, 2023
- Internship career guidance lecture: April 2, 2023
- Midterm exams: April 17 to 22, 2023
- Pre-internship orientation: June 6, 2023
- Final exams: June 15 to 21, 2023

Student Leave Policy:
- Any type of leave requires the approval of the company supervisor.
- Up to 2 days of personal leave can be taken without makeup classes.
- Sick leave and personal leave exceeding 2 days must be made up from September 1 to the Friday before the start of the new semester.
- Makeup classes can be done through overtime, but no overtime pay will be given. Overtime should not exceed 2 hours per day, totaling 16 hours.
- Bereavement leave is granted for the death of an immediate family member, and makeup classes are still required.
- Participation in company-organized employee travel can be counted as working hours.
