Summary

Prevents infection caused by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus in individuals of all ages. Dialysis formulation for predialysis and dialysis patients aged 18 and older.
- Dosage:
- Infants, children, and adolescents (birth to 19 years): 3 doses of 0.5 mL (5 mcg) at 0, 1, and 6 months.
- Adolescents (11 to 15 years): 3 doses of 0.5 mL (5 mcg) at 0, 1, and 6 months or 2 doses of 1.0 mL (10 mcg) at 0 and 4-6 months.
- Adults (20 years and older): 3 doses of 1.0 mL (10 mcg) at 0, 1, and 6 months.
- Predialysis and dialysis adults: 3 doses of 1.0 mL (40 mcg) at 0, 1, and 6 months.
- Contraindications: Severe allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to previous hepatitis B vaccine or any component, including yeast.
- Warnings and Precautions: Latex sensitivity, apnea in premature infants.
- Adverse Reactions: Infants and children (up to 10 years): irritability, fever, diarrhea, fatigue/weakness, diminished appetite, rhinitis. Adults: injection site reactions, systemic adverse reactions (17% and 15% of injections, respectively).
- Drug Interactions: Do not mix with other vaccines.
