Summary

A 55-year-old man with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and ST segment elevation (STEMI) was treated by a basic emergency team in Poland. Due to his serious condition and the team's limited ability to provide care, a doctor was called to support the team using a "rendez-vous" system, where the doctor arrives at the emergency site in a separate vehicle. The patient had pulmonary edema, and his condition worsened, requiring endotracheal intubation and expanded pharmacotherapy. The doctor's support improved the patient's care, and he was transported to the hospital. This case report presents a solution to abandon permanent specialist teams and increase the efficiency of rescue teams by using a "rendez-vous" system, which has been successfully implemented in other European countries.
