Summary

Don Agustín Borges Coello (1915-2000) fue un pianista y director fundador de una agrupación musical de cuerdas en Guía de Isora. Fue tesorero del "Centro Isorano", vicepresidente de la Juventud Católica masculina y miembro de la comisión organizadora del Comité Local de la Juventud de Acción Popular. Se alistó como falangista voluntario durante la Guerra Civil y ascendió a sargento provisional. Luego ingresó en la Guardia Civil y más tarde en el cuerpo de Oficinas Militares, donde ascendió a capitán y fue condecorado. Nació en Guía de Isora en 1915, hijo de don Agustín Borges Rodríguez y doña María de la Natividad Coello Vera, y creció en una familia destacada en la que varios miembros ocuparon cargos públicos y militares. Estudió música y dominó el piano y algunos instrumentos de cuerda, y participó en eventos artísticos y musicales en su pueblo natal.
