Summary

We desire to see lives transformed through the translated Word of God. Committed to understanding Bible translation as a fundamental activity in God's mission, Global Partnerships seeks collaboration in this movement. The aim is for organizations to explore new ways of cooperating interdependently, leveraging motivation and accountability while building capacity.

Bible translation should be guided by its transformational impact on language communities, requiring networks of committed individuals, institutions, and organizations that work together rather than independently. This approach honors God's character, supports common principles, benefits local and global movements through increased collaboration, manages resources efficiently, eliminates redundancy, contributes to staff development, and builds on organizational strengths.

The vision is the transformation of lives through the translated Word of God, inspired by a multi-organizational collaboration in the Bible translation movement. Global Partnerships members share this dream and are committed to its achievement.

Goals include ensuring access to complete Bibles for 95% of people, New Testaments for 99.9%, and portions of Scriptures for all by 2025. By 2033, a Bible translation project should be in progress for every people group that needs it. The vision is inspired by the Church's calling.

Strategic goals involve building networks working interdependently towards Bible translation, promoting life transformation through planning, monitoring, and resourcing, encouraging local capacity building, and developing sustainable movements. Partnership Facilitators advocate for community within the movement, while Projects teams oversee resource development. Collaborative planning helps achieve shared goals.
