Die Arbeit zielt darauf ab, ein einheitliches Sekretierungssystem zu erstellen, indem sie die Geschichte des Umgangs mit dem Schrifttum, rechtliche Vorschriften und das Gefährdungspotential dieser Schriften untersucht. Durch Praxisanalysen in Form von Recherchen in Online-Bibliothekskatalogen und Experteninterviews soll herausgefunden werden, ob nationalsozialistische Literatur im Bestand der Bibliotheken tatsächlich ein Problem darstellt und ob Bedarf nach einem einheitlichen Sekretierungssystem besteht.
