VLT dU/dt Filter MCC 102 reduces dU/dt values on motor terminal phase-to-phase voltage, lowering stress on motor winding insulation. It's a differential-mode filter that reduces peak voltage spikes and rise time, suitable for short motor cables. Compared to sine-wave filters, dU/dt filters are smaller, lighter, and cheaper, with a cut-off frequency above the switching frequency. They introduce negligible reactance, making them suitable for high dynamic applications. The filters are designed and tested for operation with VLT AutomationDrive, AQUA Drive, and HVAC Drive, and are compatible with all control principles. They reduce dU/dt stresses, increase motor service interval, and lower magnetic interference propagation. The filters have a voltage rating of 3 x 200 – 690 V, nominal current of 17 – 880 A, and can operate at 0 – 60 Hz without derating.
