2. 米糠を原料とする機能性素材の開発に関する研究：米糠から有用物質の抽出と抽出した化学物質の機能化を検討し、植物起源化学製品群の創出と工業的利用の先導を図ることを目的とする。
3. 100ppb以下の品質保証値を示すために：マイクロウェーブ試料前処理装置を用いて、化成品の溶液化、濃縮・分離技術を検討し、10 ppb以下の微量ナトリウム、鉄等の重金属及びハロゲン等を迅速かつ高精度に同時定量する方法を確立することを目的とする。
4. 牛ふん固形化堆肥の製造に関する研究：地産地消構想に立脚して、オガクズ等バイオマスの有効利用の実証を行い、和歌山県内の果樹農家にとって有益で付加価値高い牛ふん固形化堆肥を製造できることを実証する。
5. 能力向上研修を終えて：徳島大学大学院ヘルスバイオサイエンス研究部薬物治療解析学分野の滝口祥令教授の下で、「in vitroによる薬効評価法の取得」について研修を受け、薬効スクリーニング法の取得が必要となってきている。
