Researchers evaluated the effect of shear stress on tolerogenic dendritic cells (tolDCs) using the VAX-ID® intradermal drug delivery device with various needle gauges. Results showed no significant difference in cell viability and phenotype for needles ranging from 23G to 32G, indicating that VAX-ID® pre-configured with these needles can be a promising solution for reliable delivery of cell-based immunotherapy.
