The study aims to map the spatial pattern of plant species richness in Satchari National Park, Bangladesh, using ordinary kriging and regression kriging methods. The results show that species richness is higher in the north zone of the study area, with 29.45% variation in ordinary kriging and 25.78% variation in regression kriging. The study concludes that spatial distribution is essential for understanding biodiversity patterns and that the variation between the two methods is not strong. The objectives of the study are to map the spatial pattern of species richness and to compare which method explains better variation in spatial pattern. The study highlights the importance of spatial pattern in ecology and conservation, and how it can help in understanding the diversity of natural areas.
