The purpose of the committee is to conduct collaborative research on the transmission and practical application of knowledge and skills through the use of mixed reality technology, with the goal of elucidating human perception, cognition, behavior, and skills, and developing more effective and efficient methods for sensing, mining, modeling, rendering, interaction, training, and transmission of things and events. The committee aims to address the issues of skill transmission and high-quality services for the elderly in an aging society, as well as the promotion of Japanese science, technology, and culture to the world. The committee will conduct research on the following topics: (1) elucidation of knowledge and skills, (2) practical application of mixed reality technology, and (3) application of mixed reality technology to various fields. The expected effects of the committee's activities include the development of new research themes, the promotion of international exchange, and the contribution to the realization of a healthy and rich life for the elderly. The committee's activities will be conducted from July 2016 to June 2018, with three meetings per year, and the results will be reported through research meetings and departmental conferences.
