The software architecture allows Hams to modify the radio's capability, with access to the source code, kernel, and ability to add protocols and apps. The kernel consists of basic routines to operate the radio, and Hams can modify it to make the product more efficient or extend its capability. Connect Systems will provide certain protocols and enable talented Hams to develop other protocols, with the ability to add apps limited only by imagination.
