Summary

To engage the fan lock, de-energize the fan motor, use the fan lock handle to push one side of the fan lock arm against the driveshaft, rotate the other arm into position, and screw the locking bolt through the welded nuts to lock the arms. Connect the fan lock handle to the locking bolt, tighten, and remove the connecting pin. Rotate the clasp up, insert a padlock, and lock to achieve lock out/tag out. To disengage, remove the padlock, allow the clasp to rotate back, disconnect the locking bolt, loosen and unscrew it, and remove. The spring will pull the fan lock arms into the open position.
