Summary

Xerox Security Bulletin XRX21-019 announces the availability of the October 2021 Security Patch Cluster for Xerox FreeFlow Print Server v7 on Solaris 10 Operating System, which includes Java 7 Update 321 and patches to mitigate Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities. The patch cluster is available for installation via DVD/USB media and is recommended for customers with active FreeFlow Print Server Support Contracts. Installation of non-authorized patches can violate Oracle agreements and render the platform inoperable. The patch cluster remediates several US-CERT CVEs, including CVE-2021-3711, CVE-2021-3712, CVE-2021-2341, CVE-2021-2369, and CVE-2021-2432. Customers are advised to evaluate their security needs and schedule installation with their Xerox Service team or install using the Update Manager UI. A BIOS firmware update specific to the Xerox printer product and Digital Front End platform is also required to mitigate Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities.
