Summary

The South Mountain Partnership (SMP) has a Leadership Committee that guides and oversees the development and implementation of the SMP's strategic plan. The committee has 12-15 members, including standing members from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Members serve up to two consecutive three-year terms and are expected to attend at least four of six meetings per year. The committee has several roles and responsibilities, including strategic direction, policy adoption, public relations, funding, and programming. The SMP also has subcommittees, including Communication, Organizational Development, Program, and Fundraising, which work on specific initiatives and programs. Ad hoc committees may also be established as needed, such as the South Mountain Research Corps & Science Summit and the Mini-Grant Review Committee.
