Summary

Denne studien handler om barnevernssaker med foreldrekonflikter og hvordan profesjonelle og foreldre forstår og beskriver et konfliktfylt foreldreskap på tvers av to hjem. Studien utforsker foreldreskap, omsorg og barnets utviklingsbetingelser i familier hvor barnets foreldre bor i ulike hjem og er uenige om foreldreansvar, barnets bosted, samvær og hvordan de skal gi omsorg til barnet. Resultatene viser at barnet kan få en mer sentral plass i de profesjonelles håndtering av foreldrekonflikter gjennom å rette oppmerksomheten mot foreldreskap og konkrete omsorgspraksiser. Studien viser også hvordan kontekstsensitive analyser av omsorg og foreldreskap kan bidra til forståelser av samspillet mellom foreldre i konflikt, og av mekanismer som gjør at konflikter blir fastlåste.
