Summary

The RPC's anti-harassment policy aims to create a work environment where people are treated with dignity, decency, and respect. The policy prohibits unlawful discrimination or harassment of any kind, including discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, or marital status. Harassment, including sexual harassment, is also prohibited, and the policy provides guidelines for determining whether there has been a violation. The policy applies to all team members, and disciplinary action will be taken against anyone who violates it. Managers and supervisors who knowingly allow or tolerate discrimination, harassment, or retaliation are also subject to discipline. The policy encourages reporting of any incidents of harassment or discrimination and provides a process for investigating and addressing complaints. Consensual romantic or sexual relationships between managers or supervisors and team members who report to them are strongly discouraged due to potential conflicts of interest and the appearance of favoritism or bias. Team members who enter into such relationships must notify the executive director or other appropriate RPC officer.
